Mahmud Jafri, CEO of Dover Rug & Home spoke at the Naturalization Ceremony held at Faneuil Hall where over 350 people from 35 nations were sworn in. The ceremony was conducted by Judge Frank Bailey, Presiding United States Judge for the oath taking.
Jafri is the recipient of the 2013 Immigrant Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by the Immigrant Learning Center (ILC) and has been appointed by Gov. Deval Patrick to his Advisory Council on Immigrants and Refugees. He is a staunch advocate for immigration reform and is actively involved with the Massachusetts Immigration Refugee Advocacy (MIRA), which serves the Massachusetts' one million foreign-born residents. Jafri was recently recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential People in New England by India New England.
