Ragno USA continues to push the limits of inkjet printing with the distressed, genuine look of reclaimed wood in its new Barnwood 6”x24” planks. The series replicates wood that has withstood the elements so long the paint has broken down and taken on a unique warm patina all its own; cracks are evident, while some spots are smooth and devoid of paint; natural wood graining underscores the realistic appeal.
The series is comprised of three weathered-to-perfection colors – Ash (natural), Barley (taupe), Pearl (gray) – plus Blend (mix), a random mixture of all three. Within each color there are ranges of layered shades, reminiscent of worn paint layers on an old barn. Floors, walls and even ceilings in wet interior and/or exterior vertical and horizontal areas can take on the test of time and exposure.
Barnwood’s frost- and impact-resistance permits installation in residential and commercial areas where natural woods are unsuited. Spas, showers, patios, backsplashes, steam rooms and exterior walls in traditional or contemporary settings need not be concerned with freeze-thaw issues, mold buildup or general deterioration that could affect natural wood in these settings.
Modern society’s shared desire for simpler times – pastoral settings, peaceful serenity – obviously can’t be fully attained through a decór change . . . but a calm and tranquil place to refresh, relax, reset can significantly affect one’s mindset and mood. Using environmentally conscious products like Barnwood porcelain certainly augment that effort. Barnwood’s characteristics below resonate with today’s consumers:
• no VOC emissions
• low life cycle costs
• 21% recycled content
• made in the U.S.A.
