ARDEX introduces the ARDIFLO System which proactively addresses concrete construction issues through a new and innovative specified finishing method for new concrete with an integrated system of moisture control and self-leveling underlayment products, installed with a range of high technology pumping platforms – from traditional mixing barrels to Standard, Medium and High-Capacity Pumping Systems. Each system is uniquely designed to match capabilities with the project parameters. But more than that, each system is available both for rent or purchase, with a broad range of training and support options as well as tailored warranty and contractor programs.
Lori Angelo, ARDEX Americas Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Shared Services, is the Executive Sponsor for this initiative. “ARDEX Americas is proud to offer comprehensive installation systems that provide contractors and installers with options to complete jobs faster without sacrificing the quality demanded by architects, engineers and building owners,” Angelo says.
Process Innovation – Rough Screed
In new construction applications, the ARDIFLO System saves time and labor costs by eliminating the traditional steel trowel step in the finishing process. Using this system, the contractor will only place, consolidate, strike off and re-float/re-straighten the surface. These steps would be followed with a layer of self-leveling underlayment either immediately after deflection or during interior build out. In some cases, the system can be installed first using a special rapid epoxy primer designed to replace curing compound and allow almost immediate installation of finished flooring while mitigating any future risks resulting from moisture emissions from the slab. The resulting finish delivers a concrete substrate capable of meeting the most demanding flatness and leveling tolerances for both the flooring and millwork trades, eliminating unplanned leveling and delays. Mike Tracy, ARDEX Americas Business Development Manager and ARDIFLO project leader explains, “Making this system available to the construction industry affirms that ARDEX remains the leader in innovation, quality and customer service.”
Pumping Innovation – Delivery Solutions
In 1984, ARDEX continued its leadership in innovation when it introduced an automatic mixing pump and became the first manufacturer in North America to promote, train and support the pumping of Portland cement-based, self-leveling underlayments.
ARDEX now introduces its ARDIFLO System which offers equipment ranging from traditional mixing barrels to Standard, Medium and High-Capacity Pumping Systems. Each system is uniquely designed to match capabilities with the project parameters. But more than that, each system is available both for rent or purchase, with a broad range of training and support options as well as tailored warranty and contractor programs.
For smaller jobs, the ARDEX ROVER Rolling Barrel Cart enables a single installer to mix, deliver and pour up to three bags in a single process.
At the other end of the spectrum, for the biggest jobs, at 24,000 to 33,000 pounds pumped per hour, the ARDEX POWERFLO High-Capacity Pump Trailer can level a 100,000 square-foot project in less than six hours.
For every job in between, a selection of models of the ARDEX AMP Automatic Mixing Pump or ARDEX CUBE Medium-Capacity Mobile Mixing Pump can deliver the precise capacity and convenience needed for each project.
