Florim USA has introduced The Galaxy Tile Collection to the North American marketplace. A rugged, through-color porcelain tile, that may be used as a "crossover material" for both commercial and residential applications. Each tile is produced using High Definition Graphic (HDG) Technology, a state-of-the art inkjet process creating realistic visuals which emulate the look of natural stone.
Offered in six unique colors, Nero, Nutmeg, Grigio, Hazelnut, Silver and Beige, the closer people look at each tile, the more convinced they are of its realism to nature. All colors consist of 20% recycled content, except for Nero which contains 40%. Sizes include 12"x12", 12"x24" (which is available semi-polished for vertical application) 18"x18" and 18"x36". Complementary Galaxy trim pieces include a cove-base, also produced with HDG, that matches perfectly with all tile size formats.
"We want everyone to look at these tiles up close to see their realism firsthand," stated Stefano Rabaioli, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Florim USA. "When doing so, they'll see a masterpiece quality re-creation of natural stone, with directional movement, jagged veining and handsome earth-tone colors. They'll also realize that because this is a highly durable, porcelain tile product, it is much easier to maintain than natural stone. In the long run, that translates into savings for the end-user."
