Välinge is pleased to announce to have entered into a global non-exclusive license agreement with the Dutch company SWI Sneek Timber for the use of the 5G installation system on the short sides of their engineered wood flooring.

The Dutch company Sneek Timber with it’s producing facility in Tianjin, Wu Qing District, China, not far from Beijing, is a producer of engineered wood flooring.

Sneek Timber, Välinge licensee since 2006 using the 2G mechanical locking system, have now taken the natural step to move forward to meet the market demand of a fast and strong 5G Fold Down installation method.

Välinge's 5G Fold Down systems, which are the most widely used fold down systems in the market, utilizes a flexible and displaceable glass fibre reinforced tongue. The 5G technologies have been developed considerably during the years and has become very popular due it’s strong locking and easy installation.

More than 50 Välinge licensees have introduced a 5G system since the technology was commercialized in 2005.

Välinge is very pleased that also SWI Sneek Timber have taken the decision to introduce flooring with 5G locking technology.
