AmericasMart organizers are gearing up for the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market, Jan. 11-18 (Temporaries: Jan. 13-17), and the Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show taking place Jan. 12-15 (Temporaries: Jan. 13-15).

Showcasing the latest in design-driven home furnishings and accessories, gifts, fine linens, area rugs, gourmet products and the largest collection of holiday, floral and home décor products, the markets will feature new product introductions, cutting-edge design trends as well as new manufacturers and new categories, all housed in more than seven million square feet of showroom space.

AmericasMart, along withRug News and Design Magazineand the National Oriental Rug  Show, will present America’s Magnificent Carpets Awards (AMCA) – an event honoring the best of the best in area rug design and creative achievement, according to AmericasMart. The event is set for Jan. 13 at the Georgia Aquarium and will feature two new categories – licensee product and indoor/outdoor.

New this year to the markets is a corridor linking the eighth floor of Building Two with the eighth floor of Building2 West Wing, uniting housewares, tabletop, gourmet and the gift segments.

The 13 permanent product centers spanning the four-building campus will welcome new companies opening their first Atlanta showrooms and will house newly expanded ones as they enhance and strengthen their product offerings. Additionally, the Market Temporaries are poised to stimulate buying with individual categories robust in rich product and diverse offerings.

Anchoring the Temporaries and its defining home furnishings Temporary Collection is HD Home, which will once again feature an exclusive juried lifestyles collection of some of the nation’s most inspired and design-driven home furnishings and home décor manufacturers.

The January markets will see several new category segments introduced in Temporaries, such as HIGH Design Luxe (which was introduced in the July 2011 Market), Emerging Artists, Made in America, Modern Baby & Contemporary Kid, Luggage & Travel Accessories as well as several categories such as Paper Boutique, Gourmet, Licensee & Design and Global Designs being relocated due to expansion of their sector.
