The Alliance for Free Choice and Jobs in Flooring (AFCJF) said it is pleased that the Department of Commerce (DOC) has found a preliminary antidumping rate of zero for two of the three mandatory companies (Zhejiang Layo and Zhejian Yuhua) being investigated as part of the Chinese engineered hardwood flooring anti-dumping/countervailing case. The third company, Samling Group, received a rate of 10.88 percent.
According to the organization, more than 95 percent of imported engineered hardwood flooring from China will receive a rate of 10.88 percent, and much of it will enter at zero. An all-industry rate of 82.65 percent applies only to an insignificant amount of imports, AFCJF noted.
These rates are considered temporary until the final determination this fall.
