Attendance was up more than 3 percent for the National Wood Flooring Association’s 2010 Wood Flooring Expo and Education Conference last month in Washington, D.C. The show drew 2,544 attendees from throughout the world, with 237 companies filling 414 exhibit booths.
NWFA executive director & ceo, Ed Korczak, was pleased to see the increase. “We had expected our show attendance to be flat or down slightly as has been the case with most flooring shows held so far this year, but our increase, though modest, was noticeable. Traffic was constant on the Expo floor, and our education sessions were well-attended.”
In addition to education for wood flooring professionals, this year’s show included education sessions specifically geared toward architects and designers that would allow them to earn continuing education credits.
NWFA’s 2011 Convention is slated for April 26 - 29 in San Diego, Calif. For more information, contact the NWFA at (800) 422-4556 (USA & Canada), (636) 519-9663 (local and international), orwww.nwfa.org.
