The show organizers of the yearly Domotex show, Deutsche Messe AG, said they will launch a new show dedicated solely to ceramic tiles. Called "fliesen/tiles," plans call for the event to be held every two years in conjunction with Domotex at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds in Hannover, Germany. The first fliesen/tiles show is set for Jan. 16-19, 2010.

"There is currently no trade fair in Germany or neighbouring countries which is devoted exclusively to ceramic tiles," explained Stephan Ph. Kühne, a member of the Board of Management at Deutsche Messe AG. "Fliesen/tiles gives tile manufacturers an ideal platform for presenting their high-quality product ranges and demonstrating their capabilities alongside their international competitors."

Fliesen/tiles will cover all stages in the production and installation of ceramic tile, he added. Along with tile makers, exhibitors will include sealant and adhesive makers, as well as manufacturers of cleaning products, tile cutters and shapers, and other tools. Fliesen/tiles will be an international show, with exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Eastern Europe as well as other countries, show organizers noted.
