Q.E.P. announces acquisition of two overseas tool companies
Q.E.P. Co. Inc. has acquired the assets of two overseas companies -- Vitrex Ltd. of England and Purchistics of Dublin, Ireland.
Vitrex is a 60-year-old manufacturer of ceramic tile tools and protective equipment. Vitrex's 2003 sales were approximately $8 million. Its products are sold to both the do-it-yourself and professional markets.
Purchistics, with 2003 sales of approximately $1 million, is a distributor of ceramic tile tools.
Both of these companies will utilize Q.E.P.'s worldwide distribution system.
