Responding to the industry's interest in sustainable construction and materials, USG has expanded the environmental responsibility section of its Web site, and the U.S. Green Building Council, in partnership with GreenBiz.com, has launched a business resource site for green-building.

USG's site, at www.usg.com, now includes a product sustainability table covering a wide range of products manufactured by United States Gypsum Co. and USG Interiors Inc. The table features specifications on post-consumer and -industrial recycled content, densities, VOCs, manufacturing efficiencies and raw materials for each product.

In addition, USG has developed specific answers to ASTM E2129 Standard for Data Collection for Sustainability Assessment of Building Products as they apply to USG products, manufacturing processes, operational performance, indoor environmental quality and corporate environmental policies.

The U.S. Green Building Council, in partnership with the National Environmental Education & Training Foundation's GreenBiz.com, has launched www.GreenerBuildings.com, a business resource for 'green' building practices.

Information is available on a range of topics, including architecture and design, building materials, energy use, facility management, interiors, land use, waste management and water use. The site also includes a calendar of green-building events, a series of backgrounders on green building topics and guest columns.

Sponsors for the site include Antron, AT&T, Durra Building Systems, DPR Construction, Holcim, Interface, Mannington, the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Sherwin-Williams and Warner Bros. Studios.
