Meyers wins rug contest

Ken Meyers of McCook, Neb. submitted the patriotism-themed winning entry in the NARMS 2001 Decorative Rug Contest.


Ken Meyers of McCook, Neb. recently won the 2001 Decorative Rug Contest sponsored by the National Association of Rug Makers and Sculptors (NARMS). The award was presented at the NARMS annual meeting on Jan. 31 in Las Vegas.

Decorative rug makers from the United States and Canada competed in the contest. Entries were judged for their workmanship, complexity, design choice, and overall appeal.

The 1st place rug will be displayed at national and international markets throughout 2002.
