The Brazilian natural stone industry is celebrating a successful conclusion to the Round of Negotiations held during Marmomac Brazil 2025, with participating companies projecting more than $18 million in business deals over the next 12 months.
During the three-day event held from February 18-20 in São Paulo, 22 Brazilian companies participated in 264 business meetings with 14 international buyers from Canada, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Taiwan, and the United States. These connections generated an immediate $1.83 million in deals, with expectations of reaching over $18 million in the coming year.
The Round of Negotiations is part of the export promotion program "It's Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone," developed by Centrorochas in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The program currently supports 223 companies and aims to increase Brazilian natural stone exports through strategic internationalization, promotion, image strengthening, and industry development in global markets.
"The Round of Negotiations is part of a solid strategy for global insertion, creating opportunities for Brazilian natural stone companies to remain connected with target markets, strengthen international partnerships, and reinforce Brazil's role as a point of reference in quality, diversity of materials, and sectoral innovation," said Tales Machado, president of Centrorochas [Brazilian Natural Stone Association].
All participating exporters are headquartered in Espírito Santo, Brazil's largest natural stone exporting state. The companies made 596 business contacts during the event, with 278 representing new business prospects. Satisfaction rates were notably high, with more than 87% of participating companies and 98% of international buyers rating the experience positively.
The event also featured an immersive experience for international guests, including seven designers and two journalists from the United States, Germany, and Turkey. These professionals toured facilities in Espírito Santo and attended the fair in São Paulo, giving the overall experience a 92% approval rating. They specifically praised the content quality, access to the production chain, and appreciation of Brazilian geodiversity.
"The schedule prepared by Centrorochas, through the sectoral project, allowed foreign guests to integratedly experience all stages of the production chain – from extraction in quarries to the application of stones in actual projects," said Thiago Fukuda, manager of It's Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone. "This qualified immersion contributes to increasing Brazil's recognition as a supplier of materials with high added value and great geological diversity."
Following this success, organizers have already scheduled Marmomac Brazil 2026 for March 24-26 in São Paulo, with expectations of further growing the event's impact on the natural stone industry throughout the Americas.
