In a blend of education and industry exposure, Wonder Porcelain welcomed 20 students from Little School on the Farm for a comprehensive tour of its Lebanon facility. The February 28 visit gave students studying porcelain history a firsthand glimpse into modern manufacturing techniques while emphasizing sustainability and American craftsmanship.
Dave Godlewski, the company's sales director, guided students through the entire production process—from raw materials to finished tiles. The tour highlighted pressing, glazing, and firing stages, demonstrating how ancient Chinese techniques have evolved into today's advanced manufacturing methods.
"We were thrilled to welcome these bright young minds to our facility," Godlewski said. "It's important for us to connect with the next generation and inspire them to explore careers in the manufacturing field."
The visit concluded with a Q&A session where students inquired about career opportunities and sustainability practices in the tile industry. This educational initiative aligns with Wonder Porcelain's commitment to community engagement and developing future talent.
Founded in 2015 as part of the Marco Polo Group, Wonder Porcelain operates under the motto "Design, Crafted with Passion" while maintaining a strong commitment to American manufacturing. The company sees these educational tours as investments in both the local community and the future of domestic tile production.
