Mohawk Industries announced an expansion of its EverStrand carpet line with 10 new products, bolstering its sustainable flooring portfolio made from recycled plastic bottles.

The company's patented Continuum bottle reclamation process converts approximately six billion plastic bottles annually into PET chips, which are then transformed into carpet fiber for its EverStrand and PETPremier product lines.

"We are updating the Continuum messaging to make the process more relatable to today's consumer and make it easier to use as a tool to help sell," said Denise Silbert, Mohawk’s vice president of marketing, soft surface, builder and multifamily.

The new GPTP Solutions Series is the best-in-class system designed to handle the increased size and weight of today’s oversized large format tiles, making installation safer, more manageable and producing professional results. The Series includes a modular 10’ Rail Cutting System, a 5’ x 6’ Folding Work Table with a 440 lbs. load capacity with connecting brackets for adding additional tables, and a Carrying System with six suction cups (manual and battery) with a maximum load capacity of 1,716 lbs. Roberts Cushion-Back Carpet Cutter features dual blades positioned at a 30° angle to cut cushion-back and conventional carpet of any thickness with improved efficiency. The dual blade, press-fit design allows for faster blade change and ensures cutting close to the yarn edge for a perfect seam. The design includes a tapered bottom to glide between carpet rows for better separation, and a non-slip comfortable grip for a better hold. This carpet cutter works with square and round-end carpet blades.

DC-250 Smart Advance Tile Wet Saw

Rubi’s DC-250 Smart wet saw now features an automatic sensor that recognizes the thickness of the material to be cut and adapts the speed for the perfect cut. The DC-250 is ideal for intensive cutting of glazed and stoneware tiles as well as for cutting porcelain tiles or the occasional cutting of natural stone. It is available in two models: 850 and 1200, with cutting lengths of 38.6” and 47.4” respectively (including plunge cut).

The DC-250 850 includes an adjustable lateral stop (0° to 45°) to make repetitive cuts easy and practical. The DC-250 1200, on the other hand, has a square that can be adjusted up to 60º degrees to facilitate angular cutting of large format pieces.

Drygres Premium Drill Bits

Rubi has expanded its Drygres Premium range of diamond drill bits designed for drilling all types of ceramic tiles, especially porcelain stoneware and other covering materials such as marble and granite.

Vacuum brazing technology was used in the Drygres Premium range of drill bits, to afix the diamond particles to the cutting area, increasing resistance to temperature and friction. The drill bits are dry cut and can be used, thanks to their M14 threaded connection, directly with a grinder or with an electric drill without a hammer, by using the drill adapter (ref. 05976).

Drygres Premium drill bits, with diameters of 1/4" to 1/2" (6 to 12 mm), are perfect for laying bathroom accessories or any type of decoration accessory on ceramic surfaces. The rest of the diameters range from 3/4" to 3 5/16" (20 to 85 mm) and have been designed mainly so that the ceramic tile fixer can obtain the best results when making the necessary drilling for sockets.

Octo-USB Energy

The Octo-USB suction cup is designed to lift ceramic tiles with flat, smooth and clean surfaces. The Max load capacity is 140 kg for flat and smooth surfaces and horizontal handling. It is not suitable for porous or texturized surfaces. It is equipped with a 3.7V / 2 Ah. battery integrated in the suction cup and charges via USB-C cable. (cable included, charger not included). The buttons are water and dustproof. The digital displays have four indicators: vacuum/release/on/charge plus a MBAR pressure info screen.

Onn Surfaces Onn Core luxury vinyl flooring The collection features wide-format planks measuring 9 inches in width and 60 inches in length, with a 7-mm total thickness, including a 30-mil wear layer. The manufacturer notes that the larger plank dimensions can affect the visual appearance of installed spaces.

The flooring uses rigid core construction for water resistance. Each plank includes painted bevels intended to add dimensional depth to the wood-grain appearance.
