Ecore, a Pennsylvania-based rubber recycling company, is doubling down on its circular economy initiatives with a comprehensive rebrand, following its appointment of Shweta Srikanth as Chief Circularity Officer in 2024.
The 150-year-old company, which began as a family-owned cork business, has evolved into an industry leader in rubber recycling, transforming end-of-life rubber into over 1,500 different products used in gyms, playgrounds, hospitals, and sports courts.
"While our focus will always remain first and foremost on providing value to our customers, it's time to broaden our narrative," said Ecore CEO Art Dodge. The company's rebranding includes a new logo featuring a progressive blue hue and a circularity symbol with staggered, concentric rings representing the company's commitment to sustainable material development.
Through its TRUcircularity program, Ecore partners with customers to ensure used rubber surfaces are recycled into new products, creating a closed-loop system. The company's environmental impact is significant, preventing over 9.5 million pounds of CO2 emissions and diverting more than 430 million pounds of rubber from landfills each year.
The company's mission centers on a provocative question: "What if all the rubber we ever needed has already been made?" Through its recycling initiatives and product development, Ecore is working to prove that a circular economy isn't just theoretical but a profitable and sustainable business model.
