Empire Today, one of the nation's largest direct-to-consumer flooring companies based in Northlake, Illinois, announced a leadership restructuring, appointing former Samsung executive Butch Cavello as its new president of residential operations.
Cavello, who previously served as vice president of operations, training, and direct-to-consumer retail at Samsung Electronics, brings extensive experience in operations and retail to the role. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Cavello has held senior leadership positions at Best Buy, Lucent Technologies, and American Louver Company.
The appointment comes amid broader executive changes at Empire Today. Chris Granger, who joined the company in 2018 and previously served as president of residential operations, has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Granger will oversee the company's strategic priorities and operational initiatives.
Additionally, Paul Carter, a company veteran since 2009, has been named Chief Strategy Officer. Carter, who most recently served as executive vice president of strategic projects, will focus on developing and implementing growth strategies.
The leadership changes come as Empire Today seeks to strengthen its position in the competitive flooring industry and enhance its customer service offerings.
