The Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) California Carpet Stewardship Program has opened its third cycle of Innovation and Design Grants, with proposals due by March 31, 2025. The purpose of the Innovation and Design Grant Program is to provide funding for testing and development activities that create:

  2. Post-consumer carpet (PCC) products that are more reusable, recyclable and/or have a decreased environmental footprint, and/or

The goal is to improve and enhance California-sourced PCC recycling and support California’s focus on building a circular economy.

The cycle is open to U.S.-based entities, and partnerships between industry and NGOs or universities are encouraged. CARE will grant awards up to $100,000. The full solicitation can be found here.
