Mohawk Industries has announced the promotion of Mauro Vandini to the position of president of the company’s Global Ceramic Segment. Vandini’s new role will be effective as of September 15, 2024. In addition to his new responsibilities, Vandini will also continue to serve as the president of Mohawk’s European Ceramic business.
Vandini has been with Mohawk since 2013, following the company’s acquisition of Marazzi. He has played a key role in the company’s growth and success in the ceramic tile market. Mohawk is now the world’s largest producer of ceramic tile, with a presence in eight countries and sales in approximately 140 nations.
In his new role, Vandini will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global ceramic operations. He will work closely with Mohawk’s regional ceramic business leaders to drive performance and deliver value to customers.
Vandini will be supported in his new role by Chris Wellborn, who will assist with the transition. Wellborn will also continue to serve as Mohawk’s president and Chief Operating Officer.
