Installers interested in The International Surface Event (TISE) National Installer of the Year Competition will have the opportunity to hear what's new this year on an upcoming Floor Academy Podcast airing August 30.
Kyle Hedin, Floor Covering Installer columnist and Floor Academy Podcast host, invited Paul Treanor, senior manager, content and community for Informa, the firm responsible for The International Surface Event (TISE), and Beth Miller, managing editor, Floor Covering Installer, to discuss the importance of growing the National Installer of the Year Competition.
The National Installer of the Year Competition has a series of regional competitions that take place across the country, providing flooring installers the opportunity to showcase his or her skills in either the soft surface or hard surface category. Last year, the regionals were held in Orlando, Florida; St. Louis, Missouri; and San Leandro, California. This year, the regional competitions have expanded to four locations.
The first competition was held in Baltimore, Maryland, in July. The second is taking place August 11 in Hayward, California. Fort Wayne, Indiana will host the third regional, and Dallas, Texas will be the host city to the final regional competition. Winners from each category of the four regional competitions will be flown to TISE 2024 to compete in the final.
You can hear the competition update from Treanor and Miller on August 30 on the Floor Academy Podcast site or anywhere you stream your podcasts.
