Leaders in architecture and design discussed sustainability and what’s important to them when designing with sustainability as a goal.

Speakers and topics included: Rebecca Best, executive vice president of sustainability, Material Bank spoke on embodied carbon and interiors; Alex Co, sustainability project manager at WAP Sustainability spok about transparency trends in tile; Don Haynes, environmental and sustainability manager at Florim USA spoke about sustainability in manufacturing. Sandra Parét, CEO of STG Design gave the talk "The Impact of Design"; AJ Paron, EVP of Sandow Design Group gave a talk on Portfolio Decarbonization: Transforming Ambition into Action; Jon Penndorf, associate principal for Perkins & Will in Washington DC spoke about Environmental, Governance & Social (ESG) aspects of project development; and Brett Shwery, senior VP and interior design director at AECOM spoke on why climate matters.
