On June 14, Torlys, a global flooring solutions company, hosted a celebration to commemorate its 35th anniversary along with the 50th anniversary of its longtime partner, Sun-Brite Drapery, a leading window décor and design company.

More than 400 guests from the industry and community attended the memorable night, hosted by Torlys Senior VP of Sales for Builder & Hospitality Cam Bowen and Sun-Brite President Benny Caringi. Bowen’s and Caringi’s longstanding friendship has evolved over the years into many business collaborations, earning them The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD)’s “Member of the Year” award for volunteer efforts hosting events for Hats On for Awareness charity.

At the event, the duo reminisced on both companies’ growth and achievements over the years, crediting their joint success to the ongoing support of family, past and present team members, and valued clients.

“Over three and a half decades of change at Torlys, one constant remains; we've stayed true to our roots as a people-focused company committed to making flooring better,” said Bowen. “We could not have reached this milestone without the dedication of our talented team and fantastic partners like Sun-Brite, a fellow family-run business that echoes our commitment to service, innovation, and making a positive community impact. I look forward to the next 35 years and what lies ahead.”

Sharing the celebration with Torlys made it even more special to celebrate 50 years of carrying on his family legacy, Caringi said. “The fact that two likeminded companies share the same values and purpose is a testament to the importance of relationships and how we both value people more than anything else,” he said. “The future is bright for both companies as we continue to grow our relationships as well as give back to our community and all the people who have made us who we are today. As I always say, together, we are stronger.”
