CCA Global Partners announced today that $242,415 was raised for Tunnels to Towers Foundation following the Tunnels To Towers 5K in New York City. A team of 150 CCA Global Partners staff and retailer members from Carpet One Floor & Home, Flooring America, Flooring Canada, The Floor Trader, and International Design Guild (IDG) divisions rallied together to participate by walking and running in the 5K.

The event symbolized Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers and pays homage to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

“It’s part of our company culture to look out for our neighbors and help out where we can,” said John Gilbert, president of Carpet One Floor & Home. “This year, we’re uniting all divisions to help the hero families of Tunnels to Towers Foundation. By funneling our collective effort towards this important cause that helps so many families with their homes, we hope to make an even greater impact.”

CCA Global Partners retail divisions have been longtime partners of the organization, supporting the Smart Home and the Gold Star Family Home Program.

“There’s not only a lot of power within our collective divisions, there’s a lot of heart. Our hope is that the dedication and generosity all these divisions bring to everything they do will continue to benefit Tunnel to Towers and make an even more meaningful impact to the cause,” said Keith Spano, president of Flooring America, Flooring Canada, International Design Guild and The Floor Trader. “We’re very proud of our team members and retailers who traveled to New York to be part of the Tunnels to Towers 5K for their dedication to a great cause.”

In addition to the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and Walk in New York City, members will participate in other in-store fundraisers throughout the year to help fund the Smart Home and Gold Star programs.
