Home improvement retailer The Home Depot reported sales of $43.8 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2022, an increase of $2.7 billion, or 6.5% from the second quarter of fiscal 2021.
Comparable sales for the period ending July 31, 2022, increased 5.8 percent, and comparable sales in the United States increased 5.4%. Net earnings for the second quarter of fiscal 2022 were $5.2 billion, or $5.05 per diluted share, compared with net earnings of $4.8 billion, or $4.53 per diluted share, in the same period of fiscal 2021, representing an 11.5% increase in diluted earnings per share.
