Interior designer Francis Toumbakaris created a prismatic vignette showcasing rugs by floor covering and home accents manufacturer Nourison during High Point Market.

The vignette featured two new designs added to Nourison's Prismatic area rug collection, which is known for its vibrant color and hand-carved texture, made from a luxurious blend of fine New Zealand wool and silky Luxcelle fibers. Toumbakaris also created a gallery wall of 2x3 rug samples displayed as framed art.

“I always felt that these beautiful rugs look like paintings, so the inspiration came right away," Toumbakaris said. "I said we need to create a gallery wall with frames, framed as samples so it looks like a little gallery, and that’s what you are seeing."

Toumbakaris has a natural eye for design, successfully leveraging his background in dance and the arts, crafting Francis Interiors into one of New York City’s most versatile interior design firms with clients residing in high-end apartments, townhouses and condos.
