CCA Global is gearing up for a summer convention that will not only mark a shift for the company as Carpet One Floor & Home, Flooring America, Flooring Canada, The Floor Trader, and International Design Guild (IDG) members meet together for the first time; it also unveils new digital technology, marketing and merchandising to help all members position themselves to exceed the future demands of their consumers.
“Ahead Of The Future” runs July 19-21 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort near Denver.
The upcoming convention marks the first time that members have been together since January 2020, and the agenda is designed to give attendees ample opportunities to reconnect and network and the space to share best flooring industry business practices.
“This may be the most anticipated convention we’ve ever planned,” said John Gilbert, president, Carpet One Floor & Home. “There’s an excitement and enthusiasm we can feel from members who cannot wait to reunite with each other. We’re bringing everyone across all our divisions together to network, to learn and grow together as we face a new future for our industry.”
In addition, special guest Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) will share his unique brand of humor, keen insight and passion to recruit a new generation of skilled trade workers with attendees during an onstage interview.
Other highlights include:
- Women of CCA holds first combined meeting
- Sessions on DRIVE – CCA’s CRM + Marketing Automation platform
- Inaugural in-person meeting of the Commercial Group
- First combined meeting of Next40 – representing the new generation of owners under 40

“At convention, traditionally our goal is to arm our members with everything they need to secure more market share. That hasn’t changed,” said Keith Spano, President of Flooring America/Flooring Canada, The Floor Trader and IDG. “But the format of bringing all the divisions together is new. The goal is that by bringing everyone under one umbrella for convention, it will deliver an enhanced networking experience that we know our members are looking forward to after so much time apart.”
For the convention, CCA Global will follow CDC and venue protocols for guest wellness and safety at the event. Masks are encouraged, but not required. Social distancing reminders and hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the convention meeting rooms and show floor.
