Fishman Flooring Solutions, a distributor of flooring and flooring installation products, has been named Distributor of the Year for 2020 by the Floor Covering Distributor Alliance (FCDA) and its Powerhold™ brand. The award recognizes Fishman for its overall growth in sales of Powerhold products last year; its growth in branch sales of those products; and its support of and participation in FCDA activities.

“2020 was a year of challenges and changes for Fishman and across the flooring industry thanks to the coronavirus,” said Bob Wagner, Fishman president and CEO. “One thing that hasn’t changed is that Fishman’s customers continue to want the best flooring and flooring installation products at equitable prices, which enables us to increase our sales of Powerhold and other products in our inventory.”

Also contributing to sales growth for the company is the ongoing execution of its strategic plan to expand its footprint into new territories, according to Wagner. Over the past four years, Fishman has opened branches in Garden City, Georgia, which serves the Savannah marketplace; Nashville, Tennessee; and Knoxville, Tennessee.

The FCDA is a network of some of the world’s largest distributors and leading manufacturers of flooring and flooring installation supplies. Members are located in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. In 1999, FCDA members created the Powerhold brand to provide professional flooring installers with high quality products at competitive prices.
