People have been spending a lot of time in their homes over the last few months and this has led to an increased desire for home improvements. One of those areas of increase demand is garage floors.
In response, Engineered Floors launched LifeTiles, a program of 24 x 24 carpet tiles designed for garage floors and aimed at the builder market. Launched in July 2020, the textile composite flooring combines the key attributes of modular soft surface with the long-lasting wear performance of hard surface. Made with Engineered Floors’ 100% Solution Dyed Woven Polyester fiber, LifeTiles aims to deliver superior wear performance while also being soil and stain resistant. The tiles have a high moisture tolerance and are also certified high traction in both wet and dry conditions.
“I have over 60 years of experience in the carpet industry, and I believe LifeTiles is as good as, if not better than, any other flooring innovation we’ve ever manufactured,” said Engineered Floors Chairman and CEO Bob Shaw.
Due to the toughness and high moisture tolerance, the company says the carpet tiles can be used to upgrade the floor of your garage and areas at high risk for slip and fall injuries, such as home gyms.
