The Starnet Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel their 2020 Starnet Annual Meeting that was scheduled for May 14-17, 2020. The Florida Governor declared a state of emergency, the most recent recommendation from the United States Centers for Disease Control CDC, and some changes in corporate travel recommendations for manufacturing partners made this decision unavoidable.
Starnet remains committed to helping their Preferred Vendor Partners and Service Providers adjust to have a successful 2020. The staff will refocus their effort on dealing with the current situation through member best practice sharing as well as assisting their manufacturing and service partners complete their 2020 strategic plans.
The Board is currently looking at options for the co-op regarding meetings for the balance of 2020, with a special focus on creative ways to enhance member/vendor development and engagement. The Starnet Fall Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, October 9-11, 2020 is scheduled.
Starnet says, "This too shall pass…Our entrepreneurial cooperative will continue to find new ways to help our partners succeed and flourish after difficult challenges in the marketplace. We will help the members and the Starnet Preferred Partners take advantage of the opportunities that will inevitably come after this short-term uncertainty."
