Chattanooga, Tenn. -- In response to growth in the Midwest, Xpress Global Systems (XGS) moved its Detroit area service center to a larger 48,000 sq-ft facility. This expansion will allow XGS the ability to handle increased volume with heightened customer service and efficiency.
This expansion will be the the third for XGS since October. The company previously announced new service centers in the Allentown, Pa., and Youngstown, Ohio, areas.
“We have been busy the past few months optimizing our network and bringing additional service options to our customers,” said Derek Bartley, vice president of process improvement. “These investments underscore our commitment to the floorcovering industry. We are continuously evaluating different markets and services that will increase our value to our customer base.”
In addition to offering less than truckload (LTL) transportation solutions, XGS also provides warehousing and distribution services across the country with more than a million square feet of storage in key demographic locations.
