Chattanooga, Tenn.—Alliance Flooring has formed a strategic partnership with Nationwide Marketing Group, a large resource group for appliance, furniture and electronics retailers. The agreement names Alliance as their partner in helping members expand their product offering by diversifying into flooring.

Nationwide Marketing Group works on behalf of thousands of appliance, furniture and electronics dealers, helping them grow their businesses and their bottom lines. They have over 5,300 members and more than 14,000 store fronts, with their furniture division comprising over 2,600 members.

Through this relationship, Nationwide will utilize Alliance’s private label brand, Floorco Flooring Gallery. The comprehensive program will feature all product categories.

“We are all very excited about the pending growth this brings and look forward to working with Nationwide members by helping them sell more coordinating products to their customer base,” said Ron Dunn, co-CEO of Alliance Flooring. “We also look forward to introducing the added benefits this will bring to our members. Nationwide has a very impressive lineup of business benefits and product categories that reflect expertise and decades of knowledge. Many of these products and business benefits will be made available to each of our stores.”

Jon Logue, Alliance Flooring’s co-CEO, added, “This is a great opportunity for both Nationwide and Alliance Flooring members to increase sales during this positive growth point in our economy. The Leading Indicator of Remodeling Activity by Harvard is at its highest level in a decade and growing at over 7% per year. This presents a fantastic opportunity, coupled with the fact that today’s consumer is looking for more of a one-stop, total home decorating experience. Nationwide and Alliance Flooring both bring home décor categories like furniture, flooring, bedding, etc., to help their members grow business.”

Nationwide called the new partnership “a prime opportunity for furniture and appliance retailers.”

“Typically, homeowners looking to remodel a home will also look to furnish their new space or replace a suite of kitchen appliances,” said Jerry Honea, Nationwide executive vice president of merchandising. “Paired with housing starts in 2018 being the highest we’ve seen in recent years, this new offering allows local independents another valuable opportunity to serve their local communities.”

John Laing, Nationwide’s director of new business development added, “We’re always evaluating new opportunities and partnerships. This is something special and there is a natural extension for our retailers that pairs well with the categories we’re already in. With this partnership, we can offer more that centers on making a house a home.”
