Crossville, Tenn. -- Crossville, D&B Tile Distributors, and ID & Design International recently partnered to design and create a stunning runway dress constructed of Crossville tile for the annual International Interior Designers Association (IIDA) South Florida Design Mix. The garment received the Best Use of Challenging Material Award at the event.

Design Mix is a fashion show that pairs industry members with design firms in an effort to fabricate a one-of-a-kind, unique wearable garments made of sponsors’ products. Non-industry judges evaluate the garments and present awards in various categories.

For this year’s Casino Royale-theme, the design team sponsored by Crossville and D&B devised a bedazzling Bond Girl garment fashioned from luminous tile and mosaics from a range of Crossville collections. An opulent high-rimmed collar was constructed with metallic linear stripes comprised of Crossville’s gauged porcelain tile panels. Crossville’s Ebb and Flow glass mosaics were used to create the bodice and headpiece. The long flowing train was handmade with metallic quatrefoil shaped waterjet-cut tile and sparkling crystals, and bejeweled wrist cuffs were crafted from Crossville’s mirrored Sideview Glass tile.
