Las Vegas, Nev. -- HPS Schönox will announce the winners of its Worst Subfloor Contest during the International Surfaces Event (TISE) on Wednesday, January 31 at 11:00 am, booth 4721.

The fourth annual HPS Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest kicked off in 2017, asking flooring professionals to consider, “What lies beneath?” It is a question that every installer and contractor must deal with when facing the challenges that come while preparing a subfloor.

Participants submit entries featuring projects with their most challenging subfloor and how they solved those tough subfloor conditions using Schönox products. Winners are chosen based on the severity of the original subfloor’s condition, the skill and attention to detail taken in executing the project, and the quality of the finished subfloor. Entries are reviewed and scored by three independent judges and the winners receive a variety of prizes.

“The contest is a great chance to see the most extreme subfloor projects out there putting Schönox subfloor products to the ultimate test,” said Thomas Trissl, HPS Schönox principal. “Each year we learn more about the challenges that flooring professionals face and we take that back to our research and development team ensuring that our products meet emerging subfloor challenges while performing even better and faster.”
