Gerflor USA recently convened eight industry leading healthcare designers at its global headquarters in France to discuss healthcare flooring trends, issues and solutions.
“I was honored to be included in this unique experience from Gerflor USA,” said Christine Hardin, principal at Pickett Designs in Los Angeles. “It was an opportunity to discuss and collaborate with other designers and a manufacturer who share my mission: to make healthcare interiors as safe, aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective as possible. Flooring is a big part of that.”
The designers, who hail from all different regions of the U.S., agreed that durability, sustainability, low-contrasting designs, coordinating accent and solid colors and no wax needed are some of the industry’s top flooring concerns.
“We know how important well designed healthcare spaces are to the well-being of patients and caregivers," said Jim Bistolas, national healthcare segment director. "Gerflor USA is committed to delivering what designers want and need to create healthy and healing environments. It’s such a rare and valued opportunity to spend time with a select group of designers to get their insights and ideas. Opportunities like this support our expanding healthcare expertise and offerings.”
