Projects were judged on scope, complexity, technical soundness and presentation, in the Residential, Commercial and Commercial Elite (projects of $1 million or over) categories.
The National Tile Contractors Association elected new officers and board members for 2021 and 2022 at its annual meeting, held virtually on December 3, 2020.
The National Tile Contractors Association recently named Martin Brookes its 2020 Tile Person of the Year as well as the organization’s President for 2021 and 2022.
Recognized by the National Tile Contractor’s Association, this award is given to individuals who have dedicated their careers to improving the tile and stone industry in the United States.
Seven winners were named – Grand Prize, and Achievement of Excellence in Residential, Commercial and Commercial Elite (projects over $1 million) categories, and one People’s Choice winner selected by popular vote.
On the commercial side, the winner is Ferid Hasic of Grazzini Brothers & Company, Eagan, Minn., while the recipient in the residential category is Leo Reynaga of Visalia Tile in Visalia, California.
The Grand Prize Winner is Kimberly Callahan, daughter of Wei Callahan and stepdaughter of Woody Sanders, president of DW Sanders Tile & Stone Contracting in Marietta, Ga.
