The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) has established an NWFA Named Scholarship for Paul Stringer, who retired from Somerset Hardwood earlier this year. 

In memory of James Donald “Don” Conner, Jr., a beloved hardwood flooring industry legend who passed away in October 2022, Mullican Flooring is encouraging individuals to contribute to a National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Education and Research Foundation (ERF) Named Scholarship Fund in his name.

Recruiting tomorrow's hardwood leaders, the National Wood Flooring Association invited 100 students to its Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to learn about careers in hardwood flooring. 

Scholarships for specific trainings with the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), International Certified Flooring Installers (CFI) and Certified Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) are currently available through the Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF).

The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) announced the addition of Rick Holden and the late Don Conner to the NWFA Hall of Fame during the NWFA Wood Flooring Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 2.

While the outlook in 2023 is cautiously optimistic, challenges such as supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, inflation, the housing market, and economic uncertainty remain.
