Shaw Industries has announced plans to consolidate the operations of Plant 24 in Winchester, Tenn., into other facilities in the North Georgia area.
As the company continues to grow and innovate, it will continually adjust production to align with market demand and to leverage investments in more advanced technology and high-demand product categories. The production capacity for the type of commercial broadloom produced at Plant 24 will be leveraged at other Shaw facilities in the Dalton, Chatsworth and Calhoun, Ga., areas, creating a total of 81 new positions at various facilities, according to the company.
The consolidation process will begin in April, with operations ceasing in August.
