Richard Goldberg, president of Professional Consultants International in Avon, Conn., was presented with the 2015 Ring of Honor Award by the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA). The award was presented by Dan Welch, NTCA's president, at an industry awards luncheon during Total Solutions Plus in San Antonio.

According to the association, the Ring of Honor award is given to individuals who have impacted the industry through active participation, devotion and support of NTCA programs and initiatives. An award given to one who has made a difference in the tile industry. Goldberg has devoted over 33 years in the architectural and construction industry as a technical and forensic architect. 
 
Following his acceptance, Goldberg stated, “I’m honored to be recognized by the NTCA for my contributions to the organization and humbled to be in the company of all the past distinguished Ring of Honor recipients. From an architect’s perspective, NTCA’s dedication to improving the built environment is unmatched in the building construction industry.” 
 
Goldberg brings his knowledge and expertise to the industry through numerous speaking engagements at national and international trade shows and events. He has been a frequent speaker at Coverings, NTCA Annual Meeting, Total Solutions Plus, the International Masonry Institute, Cersaie in Bologna, Italy, and Qualicer in Castellon, Spain. He serves as a member of the TCNA Handbook and the NTCA Technical Committees and is active in both CSI and AIA organizations. 
 
“Membership in the NTCA is demonstration that a tile contractor possess the highest level of skill, dedication to quality, and most important, understanding of the important centuries old legacy of the art and science of ceramic tile and stone. I am proud to be part of NTCA’s tireless efforts to improve the tile trades through education and training programs, and truly grateful to be the 2014 Ring of Honor recipient," added Goldberg.
