Dover Rug & Home will host “From Floors to Walls – Everything you need to know about buying fine art & fine rugs” Thursday, March 27 from 5:30 p,m.-8:00 p.m. The event is part of the first Boston Design Week celebration – a 10-day design-focused festival taking place at various locations in and around the greater Boston area.
Featuring experts Mahmud Jafri, CEO of Dover Rug & Home and Jacqui Becker of Jacqueline Becker Fine Arts Consulting Services, the event will demystify the art of decorating with both genres as guests learn the facts on how to purchase fine art and fine rugs; what drives their prices and how to make an educated investment in pieces that will last a lifetime. Vignettes of exquisite carpets and fine art will be on display in classic, traditional, contemporary and transitional styles to further illustrate the discussion. Guests can join in on the discussion and test their knowledge of the price values of each display.
“We always embrace opportunities to share our passion and expertise for art with the community,” says Jafri. Jafri is looking forward to inspiring many to have a greater appreciation for design with this event.
Boston Design Week seeks to increase public awareness of all aspects of design and foster recognition of the vital role design plays in everyone’s lives. Envisioned to encourage the exploration of the arts through special events, talks, tours, exhibits and more, Boston Design Week runs March 20-March 30.
