In November 2013, IVC US announced its plans to build a brand new luxury vinyl plank and tile (LVT) manufacturing facility in the United States. The company has revealed that it will expand on its current site on IVC Drive in Dalton.
“Just as in 2010 when we built our sheet vinyl manufacturing facility, we again did our homework with regards to the location for our new LVT manufacturing plant,” said Xavier Steyaert, co-CEO, IVC US. “It was again the collaborative, trustworthy and business-minded approach from our state and local community leaders that convinced us to expand on our current site on IVC Drive in Dalton, Ga. I specifically want to thank the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce led by its CEO and President, Brian Anderson, along with the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners and its Chairman, Mike Babb, and Carl Campbell from the Georgia Department of Economic Development, for their teamwork on this exciting new chapter of the U.S. journey of our company.”
The company’s current sheet vinyl manufacturing site has enough acreage for IVC US to break ground and build its 300,000 square foot LVT plant, enabling IVC US to keep all its domestic manufacturing activities on the same site.
Construction on the $80 million project is scheduled to begin this spring 2014 and is anticipated to be completed and fully operational first quarter 2015.
