Tandus Centiva has announced that effective immediately, Powerbond Cushion installations utilizing #54 Seam Weld or C-XL Water Based Seam Sealer will no longer require moisture vapor emission rate (MVER) testing or relative humidity (RH) testing, provided no free liquids are present and no moisture stained concrete is evident. pH testing will be required for all Powerbond Cushion installations and must be 9.0 or less. In the event that free liquids and/or moisture stained concrete are observed, a full assessment of the concrete substrate will be required per installation instructions.
Also effective immediately, Powerbond and Modular styles with nylon face fiber will be covered by a non-prorated Lifetime Limited Warranty against excessive surface wear, edge ravel, zippering, resiliency loss of backing, and delamination of the secondary backing from the primary backing containing the face fiber. Lifetime is defined as the period of time during which the product is owned and maintained by the original end-use purchaser in the original indoor installation location.
“Powerbond hybrid resilient has been the industry benchmark for versatility and durability for nearly 50 years. To better serve our customers and provide for easier installations, we are confidently making these changes to our product warranties based on decades of proven performance over all types of surface conditions,” commented the president of Tandus Centiva, Glen Hussmann.
