The Southern California Remodelers Council is conducting a course on Business Management for Building Professionals, October 29 at the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E. Green Street, Pasadena CA from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
The course has been designed for remodeling, building and construction professionals to expand their industry knowledge and stay on top of industry trends to find more financial success. In addition California statutes, this course is also approved for continuing education for other contractor’s state licenses.
Business Management for Building Professionals will give you a solid foundation for managing small to medium size building/remodeling and service companies. This course explains critical elements from planning to evaluating progress and presents practical tips and tools for managing a business successfully. You’ll get a solid grasp of business best practices and practical tools of value whether you are a new or experienced business owner.
As a graduate of this course, you will be able to:

•Describe the three basic functional areas of a business.
•Describe how to plan effectively for achieving business success.
•Describe the organization and processes that a company needs to have in place to run efficiently.

This Class will be conducted by Benjamin Morey Founder and President of Morey Construction. Morey is an accredited instructor for the NAHB on Design/Build, and Business Management. He has been the recipient of the Qualified Remodelers Silver “Exterior Renovation” Master Design Award.
According to a recent survey that was conducted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the total median revenue of remodelers who had Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designations exceeded that of remodelers who did not have these designations by just over $607,000 last year, additional information from the NAHB Builder Member Census reveals that members who earned the Certified Graduate Builder (CGB), Graduate Master Builder (GMB) and Certified Green Professional (CGP) designations make more money than their non-designation-earning counterparts in the business.
