Delmhorst Instrument Company’s ProScan will hit the market in July 2013, and will be demonstrated at the American Woodworking and Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS) Fair in Las Vegas, July 24- 27, 2013. ProScan is a pinless moisture meter with species corrections; an accurate solution for woodworkers, manufacturers of flooring and furniture, and general contractors.
“The launch of ProScan expands Delmhorst’s presence in the marketplace with pinless meters,” said Paul Laurenzi, vice president of Sales & Marketing for Delmhorst Instrument Co. “Our customer base continues to grow, and now with ProScan we can provide techs who work with a variety of species of wood a non-destructive instrument to measure the percent moisture content (%MC) in a few simple steps.”
Delmhorst’s new ProScan has an intuitive user interface with an easy-to-read digital display. Other features of ProScan include built-in calibration check, species corrections (.30 - .80 SG), and battery checks with an auto-off timer. This instrument allows the user to freeze the reading on the screen providing a more convenient view when using the HOLD feature. By entering the specific gravity of the wood being tested, the meter automatically adjusts for wood density and displays a corrected %MC reading. “This moisture meter also allows the technician to test a large number of samples quickly.”
ProScan is manufactured and serviced in the United States and will be available in July at $425 USD through our worldwide distribution network.
AWFS attendees can see ProScan along with other Delmhorst instruments, including the J-Series and RDM-3 at Booth #6114 located at The Las Vegas Convention Center in the supplier hall, July 24 – 27, 2013, Wednesday – Friday from 9am – 5pm, and Saturday from 9am – 3pm. Delmhorst will be conducting a free drawing to win a free moisture meter at the show.
