The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council appointed its 2013 chair last month during the International Builders' Show in Las Vegas.
Linda Hebert of Pleasanton, Calif., will serve as chair of the council after serving last year as vice chair and regional trustee. As chair of the PWB Council, Hebert will manage the council's business and represent the interests of the council members throughout NAHB.
"I am honored to represent my fellow PWB Council members in this capacity," said Hebert. "I look forward to working with members at the local and national level on issues that are important to the industry and helping spread the word about the networking and educational opportunities the council has to offer."
Hebert is president of Diversified Marketing and Communications, which she founded in 1999. As an active member of the Building Industry Association of the Bay Area (BIA Bay Area), California Building Industry Association (CBIA) and NAHB, Hebert has chaired and served on numerous committees. She was named both local and regional 1999 Associate of the Year for the BIA Bay Area and received the President's Award from the BIA Bay Area Sales and Marketing Council in 2001 and 2004. She received the 2010 Chairman's Award for outstanding service to the BIA Bay Area. Nationally, Hebert was named the NAHB PWB Woman of the Year as well as Area Trustee of the Year in 2010.
Hebert has over 25 years of experience as a sales and marketing consultant for both large and small builders and builder associate companies. As a national speaker on marketing, the female buyer, social media, the art of networking, green building and communication, she enjoys sharing her experience by mentoring and training others to help achieve their highest level of success.
