LATICRETE, a global manufacturer, installation and finishing systems for the building industry, recently donated products and contributed technical training to the Society of American Mosaic Artists Convention which was held in Lexington, Kentucky, February 29 – March 4, 2012. Every year, this event brings together mosaic artists from across the country providing them with an opportunity to get familiarized with LATICRETE products and how they perform at optimal levels relative to the installation of mosaic tile.
Products donated to the convention were LATICRETE SpectraLOCK PRO Premium Grout and LATICRETE Glass Tile Adhesive Mortar. Both of these installation materials, which have been formulated for high-performance when installing glass tiles, can be of benefit to mosaic artists. “Any sort of do-it-yourself project, such as any sized artwork that includes glass mosaic tiles, can make great use of our products,” said Matt Adamson, Technical Sales Represenative for LATICRETE. “Usually, the people who have the most success with these materials are those who follow the directions that are professionally put in front of them. The process is quite easy and when used correctly… is very effective. At the convention, mosaic artists were able to clearly understand and see these benefits; many of whom raved about how easy it was to use our products!”
LATICRETE also put on technical training and how-to classes at the convention. Adamson stated, “We wanted to make sure that anyone using our products was getting the most out of them. Through our classes, we were able to help out the artists with regards to the best ways in which LATICRETE materials are to be utilized.”
