Mullican Flooring of Johnson City, Tenn., has decided to introduce Välinge’s 2G mechanical locking systems on its engineered wood flooring and has signed a global, non-exclusive license agreement to use the patented technology for Fold Down installation.
“It is exciting for us to support Mullican Flooring with their launch of mechanical locking systems from their US manufacturing entities. The development was preceded by Mullican having marketed engineered hardwood flooring products from Asia using the Välinge locking systems and reinforces the trend towards more hardwood flooring production in North America with mechanical locking systems,” said Niclas Håkansson, CEO, Välinge.
“We are looking forward to provide mechanical locking systems to a range of our high-quality innovative products and working with Välinge Innovation on long-term development opportunities,” noted Neil Poland, President, Mullican Flooring.
