Millennium Weavers launches in Dalton

After several months of start-up activities, the management team of Millennium Weavers LLC has announced entry into the Americas carpet and rug industry from their Dalton, Ga., headquarters. Millennium Weavers is a new newly formed global brand of the Al-Sorayai Trading Group, a worldwide leader in flooring with nearly 60 years of experience.

Jefferson C. (Jeff) Knott

Leading the management team is president and ceo,

Jefferson C. (Jeff) Knott.He is a successful expert in international startups of new brands and concepts, most notably at Johnson and Johnson, the global medical leader and as svp, international of RoomsToGo Corp. “We’re excited about the opportunities ahead of us,” Knott said. “I am confident that we are poised to make a significant impact in the area rug market based on the response we have already received from customers and suppliers alike. We will continue to pursue prudent growth through alliances and our own parent company’s unique manufacturing capabilities and resources.”

Rickey Mullins

Rickey Mullins,svp, business development, is recognized throughout the industry as an icon in carpet and rug manufacturing and will lead the company’s worldwide business development and operations. After 19 years with Horizon Carpets, Mullins headed up the development and day to day operations of Al-Sorayai’s manufacturing operations for 17 years.

Mike Thompson

The domestic area rug business segment is directed by USA director,

Mike Thompson.After a 16-year career in sales management with Shaw Rugs, Thompson most recently owned and managed a retail specialty rug business in Chattanooga before taking his post with Millennium Weavers. “I’m excited about this diverse team, the resources we can draw upon and the opportunities that are ahead of us,” Thompson noted. “The products we are bringing to market are unique and offer colors and styles that will really turn some heads! We’re in a very good position to partner with the top distributors and retailers that are looking for innovative products and top customer service.”

Gary Goforth

Gary Goforthhas also joined the company as international director, Latin America, Caribbean and Canada to lead sales development in the residential broadloom and commercial business segments for Millennium Weavers. With more than 30 years of sales and marketing management experience within the carpet industry, Goforth brings a unique network of relationships to the company.
