FCICA, the flooring contractors association, announced that its Mid Year 2012 meeting will take place Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 3-5, at the Marriott Shoals Hotel and Spa in Florence, Ala. Mid Year will kick off with a plant tour of the Tuscumbia FLEXCO plant followed by a dinner and networking opportunity at the Rattlesnake Saloon.

On Oct. 4 events will continue with Committee, Associates’ and the Board of Directors’ meetings, member networking, followed by dinner at the Marriot Shoals Hotel. On Oct. 5, Mid Year 2012 will host four educational sessions followed by a networking dinner at Ricatoni’s Italian Grill.

The educational sessions chosen for Mid Year 2012 are: Welding Systems – Tools and Techniques; Application of Self Levelers; The Risk of Excluding Initial Floor Maintenance; and Is Your Concrete Concrete? Avoiding Failures When the Floor Might Be Gyprcrete, Fly Ash Concrete or a Lightweight Aggregate.
