Marazzi USA has recently donated $15,000 to the Red Cross of Northern Alabama, specifically targeting the monies for direct assistance to victims of the 2011 tornado outbreak there. While no employees at its Florence, AL, manufacturing facility were directly affected by the recent outbreak of tornadoes in the state, Marazzi USA recognizes the devastation experienced in many surrounding areas.
“We are grateful that our plant and people sustained no catastrophic damage, said Gianni Mattioli, President and CEO of Marazzi USA, “however, we feel an obligation to share in the relief efforts that will help get the people and state back on the road to recovery. We feel that partnering with the Red Cross in this effort is the most effective way to get immediate relief to people in Alabama who need it.”
The company’s manufacturing facility in Florence, AL, produces porcelain stoneware for both Marazzi USA and Ragno USA customers throughout the U.S. Employing approximately 200 people, it’s a major manufacturer in the city.
