Shaw Living has promoted Valerie Hegwood to the newly created position of national furniture chain manager. Based in Ringgold, Ga., Hegwood will be responsible for developing rug programs for major furniture chains throughout the United States.

A Shaw Living rug specialist for Georgia and Tennessee since 2006, Hegwood has extensive experience in rug sales as well as commercial design development. She began her career at Shaw as a territory manager in the Shaw Contract division in Atlanta eight years ago.

“Valerie’s experience and background make her uniquely qualified for this new role,” said Jim Curtin, Shaw Living’s vp sales. “She will work with our current team of rug specialists to develop programs in their territories, building on existing relationships while developing new ones.”
